SouthwestCRM’s Steve Jenkin Wins UCP Award for Best Use of ICT

Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) has awarded Steve Jenkin the top prize in the “Best Use of ICT” category at the recent Celebration Event.  More than 150 people from the Cornish business community including the Chief Executive of Cornwall Council (Kevin Lavery), two Cornish MPs (Sheryll Murray and Stephen Gilbert) and Director of the Convergence Partnership Office (Carleen Kelemen) gathered to celebrate the achievements.

Steve JenkinSteve was nominated for an award in recognition of his effort and achievements over the previous 12 months while working for SouthwestCRM.  In particular, Steve has built a cloud-based IT support infrastructure which supports in excess of 2,000 users across the globe 24 hours a day.

Using a mix of the latest Open Source technologies, Steve has helped the company create a highly effective and integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Document Management and Web Portal solution, called Hedron4.

SouthwestCRM’s director Simon Leek says “Over 2,000 users rely on SouthwestCRM for day to day technical support and Steve does a great job at keeping everyone happy and all our servers operating efficiently.  He thoroughly deserves to win this award and we are very proud to have such a high calibre individual working with us”.
